Sales Development Representative

GetintheLoop is a digital shop local platform that makes it easy to integrate offers and rewards from local businesses into existing products and audience channels.

We provide businesses with an easy and effective way to attract and retain engaged local consumers. Our first party mobile app makes it easy for consumers to discover ways to shop local and get rewarded. Our franchise model enables entrepreneurs to create and own a profitable digital shop-local community. And through our platform, we allow other businesses to integrate the same features, functions, and content to engage and reward their audience.

Since 2017, we have grown to nearly 100 franchises and are being used by thousands of national and local businesses. As well, our app has been downloaded by hundreds of thousands of consumers across Canada.

We are now looking for a passionate sales rep to join our Revenue Growth team.

You are located in Canada and available to work in Canada.

In this role, you will support the Revenue Growth team in driving revenue directly and through our media and channel partnerships.

Your responsibilities will be:

  1. Build pipeline and generate demand - Drive revenue for GITL by creating top-of-funnel sales interest. This will include phone calls, emails, drop ins, social touches, offline packages, and custom approaches. This role will work closely with the Revenue Growth team in daily execution.
  2. Direct selling support - Work with our Revenue Growth team to support selling our platform directly and through our media and channel partnerships. This can include cold calling, pipeline management, prospecting, planning, and market launch activities.
  3. Qualifying prospects - Work with our Revenue Growth team to develop an effective and scalable qualification plan across different revenue divisions.
  4. Team development - Every member of the Revenue Growth team is a contributor in making our teams and processes better. We continually strive to improve personally and as a group.

The skills and expertise the role requires:

  1. Sales - Selling experience in a business-to-business environment, or equivalent customer-facing position.
  2. Top-of-funnel pipeline management - Experience in managing a sales pipeline is an asset. Demonstrated ability to manage different sales activities.
  3. “Cold selling” - An understanding of the “cold selling” process and the ability to begin a sales conversation anywhere. Phone, virtual, and in-person sales will be a part of this role.
  4. Account management - An ability to develop a sales relationship and leverage ongoing account management to up-sell and further embed GitL products into a partner’s digital strategy.
  5. Process - A proven track record of being able to deploy and execute on internal processes.
  6. Empathy - Emotional intelligence, superior listening skills and demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
  7. Communication skills - Outstanding communication skills and ability to build strong relationships - by phone, online, and face to face.
  8. Start-Up - Thrive in entrepreneurial and rapidly changing environments.
  9. Being results-driven - Hitting goals, exceeding expectations and being able to draw insight from sales data.
